20 Weeks Pregnancy Update

HALF WAY!! YAY

so we finally made the half way make, I can't wait to get home and start decorating our nursery,  I have so many plans that I'm to excited ha ha. 

We are off home tomorrow which I'm kinda happy about, ill be sad but I also cant wait to get home, I love my parents but they just have a different lifestyle to me and that's hard sometimes.

So anyway Merry Christmas how was your Christmas? Ours was quiet we just sat in a pool most of the day and didn't do much else.

boxing day was all about cricket mmm not for me. (Boring)

I have been feeling really well this week no bad symptoms,  lots of movement. Finding I'm using the bathroom alot more now.

everyone is telling me I have popped out more this week so that's pretty cool. 

Also in the morning after I wake up I can feel baby's head pocking out just above my bladder so thats cool.

Off to see the Midwife on Monday so ill up d'sate you then.

How Far Along? 20 Weeks plus 1 day

 

Total Weight Gain? 88kg

 

Maternity Clothes? I have bought a new dress and singlet. Ill update when I get home on what I bought.

 

Stretch Marks? No new ones

 

Sleep? Slèeping 8hours every night

 

Best moment this week? ....

 

Miss Anything? Jasper our puppy

 

Movement? kicks and movement getting alot stronger

 

Food Cravings? No I didn't have them with first pregnancy

Dinner Fridays - Christmas Dinner

So as I live in Australia, we are in Summer so there for our Christmas is all about cold foods and drinking lots of refreshing drinks.

We traditionaly do prawns and oysters cold ham and cold chicken for our christmas dinner and then its all about the salads and well mostly the desert mmmm.

Ok are you totally hungry now? Haha so ill start with desert its just a traditional pavlova with mango mint and passionfruit we also had icecream and fruit cake.

Prawn Feta and Watermelon Salon

All you need is: 

Prawns

Watermelon

Mint leaves

Marinated feta

Lemon zest 

olive oil.

so easy and a cute way to use up those prawns.

Chargrilled Potato, Asparagus & Snow Pea Salad

Washed Potatoes

Olive oil

Asparagus

Snow peas

Mayonnaise

White wine vinegar

Wholegrain mustard

Horseradish cream

Chives

So yummy and easy and a great way to get those vegetables into a salad.

Apple Salad with Raspberry Dressing

hazelnuts

Raspberries

Red wine vinegar

Dijon mustard

Honey

Olive oil

Granny smith apples

Rocket leaves

Goats cheese 

This salad is delicious and also looks amazing on a table.

Thats pretty much our christmas dinner.

lifestyle Wednesday - Could Get Used To This

My last couple of days have been sitting next to this beautiful beach for dinner whilst the sun sets. Its amazing.

I've also spent everyday in this magical pool that's probley the most cleanest pool I've ever seen. 

No white christmas for me....

Adventure Sunday - Christmas Family Holiday

Off on our family holiday we go, first we have to drop our little puppy :( off at the dog resort for the week.

  but he does love going there so that's ok.

Ha ha Jasper's little hoody jumper....so cute!

Then it was off to the airport, and onto a 4 hour flight to my parents house where they live in the desert so its so hot its crazy.

  

Then we just spent the afternoon in the pool.

19 Weeks Pregnancy Update

One more week and i'm half way there, it seems to have gone so quick.

 

I have felt really good this week no sickness no pain just baby kicking.

 

I had my 18/20 week ultra sound yesterday the doctor was happy, baby is measuring at the right size for the weeks its at. And yes we did find out what we are having but im going to say yet, you'll have to wait alittle longer hehe.

We are off on holidays tomorrow to my parents house for a week I haven't seen them in a while so im alittle excited. they live about a 4 hour plane flight away so its going to be fun with out little guy that's only 2 and doesn't like to sit for more than 2 seconds before he's bored, so its going to be interesting.

 

 

How Far Along? 18 Weeks today

 

Total Weight Gain? 88kg ive put on 2kg in 1 week haha wow

 

Maternity Clothes? No new ones this week but I did buy a loose fitting dress on the weekend

 

Stretch Marks? I've been getting alot of red circles on my tummy and have noticed my previse marks are getting darker :(

 

Sleep? tired all the time sleeping when ever I can

 

Best moment this week? seeing baby and learning sex

 

Miss Anything? coffee and coke

Mummy Mondays - Toddler Stocking Ideas

 

 

Start with buying a stocking so you know the size and how much you need to get to fill it with.

 

 

you cannot go wrong with some cars for a little boy, extra cars to there collection is always the best.

 

 

since we are traveling over Christmas and the holidays we decided to get some dvds so our little guy doesn't get cranky or bored on the travel because its about a 5 hour flight to where we are going. 

so a mixture of kids shows or just there favourite show is always good

 



 

and well you can never go wrong with Peppa Pig

 

Pair cards might be fun on the plane or just playing as a family while on holidays.

 

some beauty items are always a cute idea because there like mum what's this where's the chocolate haha, and it fills the stocking up.

 

 

shower gel and soap that I thought we could use on holidays anyway and he loves dinosaurs at the moment.

18 Weeks Pregnancy Update

18 Weeks today, next Thursday I have my 18/20 week scan so I get to see the little baby and hopefully find out what we are having. last night I was playing around with the Chinese gender and it turned out to be a girl, but who believes in those anyway. I really have no idea what im having this time around, I would love 2 boys I think that would be cute but then a boy and a girl is just complete, so really at the end of the day im 100% happy with either.

 

My Baby is around 16cm from crown to rump and weights about 300 grams.

 

It seems I have really popped out this last week my tummy is alot harder and rounder but im still looking fat rather then pregnant haha

 

Movements are strong a feel them everyday, they are very strong just before I go to bed, which was the same with my first pregnancy.

 

My nausea has gone this week and I have my appetite back so im always hungry which is becoming annoying. I have only put on 1 kilo since falling pregnant so im proud of that so far.

 

 

How Far Along? 18 Weeks today

 

Total Weight Gain? 86kg.

 

Maternity Clothes? yes I bought a pair of Jeans West Maternity shorts and OMG they are so comfy and are the best thing ever.

 

Stretch Marks? no new ones

 

Sleep? I have been getting a good amount of sleep this week

 

Best moment this week? getting some makeup at 50% off haha

Movement? kicks and movement getting alot stronger

16 Weeks Pregnancy Update

4 months pregnant guys, arrhh going so quick, Ive got my in-laws staying at the moment mmm deep breaths haha no there not to bad. but once there gone we can start cleaning out that room because that will be our nursery so I'm alittle bit excited about that because then our little guy can help set it all up and be apart of the process I think we will get into that the week after Christmas after we are back from my parents house.

 

We are going to paint the cot because our little guy really went for it on the rails with his teething, when he was in the cot, so there's alot of teeth marks in the rails but we will paint it and put some rubber rail covers over it so the new baby can't eat the paint.

We are also going to paint the rocking chair white as its brown and it just didn't suit the room last time since the cot is white I just want it all to match and be perfect this time around.

 

 

16 weeks I have been feeling pretty good this week, I have been very tired and its very lucky that our little guy has decided he wanted to start napping during the day again so ive been getting to have a sleep during the day.

 

I've kind of got my appetite back, during the day I find myself hungry all the time but when it comes to dinner time I'm not hungry at all and I can only eat half my meal so maybe next week i'll have it back completely, we'll see.

 

There's no real other problems been getting accessional pain in my lower abdomen, and I have been feeling kicks and movement but its very slight.

 

 

How Far Along? 16 Weeks today

 

Total Weight Gain? 86kg hasn't changed will be asking the midwife this week at my appointment.

 

Maternity Clothes? no I haven't bought any yet.

 

Stretch Marks? 1 that's really red but its coming over a preexisting one from my first pregnancy.

 

Sleep? tired all the time sleeping when ever I can

 

Best moment this week? right now having the day to myself

 

Miss Anything? being on the beach

 

Movement? I have been feeling kicks this week

 

Food Cravings? No I didn't have them with first pregnancy

 

Queasy or Sick? no all gone
